Procedures for Using the Library and Archival Collections |

The National Plastics Center and Museum’s research collections are open to the public by appointment. The library does not circulate its collection. Patrons may search the On-Line Catalog and request research assistance. The NPC also provides photocopy and photographic services. Library and archival material may not be removed from the research rooms without permission.
Researchers must show a valid ID and register before using the research materials.
Food, drinks, bags, purses, parcels, and packages may not be taken into the research areas.
Only pencils are allowed in the library and research areas. No pens, markers, or postage notes are allowed.
Researchers must not write on, mark, mishandle, or damage research materials.
Access to museum artifact collections is by appointment only.
Cell phone use in the research areas is prohibited.
Photocopies must be made by museum staff. There is a charge of $.50 per copy. Library materials may be scanned or digitally
photographed for a fee. Please note, some materials are too fragile and may not be reproduced.
You must obtain permission to publish or reproduce any documents or photographs in the NPC’s collections. Commercial use of the museum’s property is subject to publication fees and/or royalties. A credit line is required and should read: Courtesy of the National Plastics Center and Museum. The copyright symbol should accompany the reproduction if applicable.
